Raisins come in a variety of colors and sizes. The largest producers of raisins are the United States and Turkey, which combined, account for over 80% of global production. China, Iran, Chile, South Africa, Greece, Argentina, and Australia are also important raisin producers. Their high sugar content makes them easy to store, transport and digest. Raisins are high in antioxidants like apricots and prunes.
